Tissa Rahim performs a blend of soul music and Persian music her family has made for generations, interlacing her show with her family's history in the context of the Iranian diaspora.
Tissa performs in both English and Farsi with a band or solo, accompanying herself on electric guitar.

Tissa Rahim, the Persian Powerhouse, is a musician with a 40-city North American tour under her belt. Winner of "Best RnB/Soul Recording of the Year" at the YYC music awards 2023, Tissa infuses her RnB/Soul sound with contemporary Persian music, singing in both English and Farsi with a band or solo. In 2024, Tissa spent a significant time in Los Angeles, writing original music both for herself and other artists and performing an average once a week. Tissa’s music video Not Once but Twice (ps752) was selected to be screened at the Toronto International Music Video Festival. Recently, Tissa filmed a set of music videos funded by the Alberta Foundation for the Arts, to be released in late 2026.
