Awwab Paracha is a 21‑year‑old rock and pop musician from Calgary, currently completing his Bachelor’s degree in Popular Music at Western University in London, Ontario. Awwab is a versatile instrumentalist, singer, and songwriter whose work blends rock, blues, soul, and acoustic pop.

Whether performing crowd‑pleasing covers or showcasing his original music, he brings a warm, engaging tone and a polished musicality that resonates with audiences of all ages. His original songs emphasize thoughtful lyricism and acoustic textures, while his solo acoustic sets create an intimate, captivating atmosphere.

    Before launching his solo career, Awwab performed with his self‑titled band, appearing at notable Calgary venues and events including the Lilac Festival (2022), Blind Beggar, Blue Can, and the Calgary Downtown Association’s Summer Stage. He was also featured on CTV News during a Downtown Association performance, highlighting his early rise as a standout young guitarist.

    Awwab draws inspiration from artists such as John Mayer, Harry Styles, Eric Clapton, Bob Dylan, and Ed Sheeran. His intricate guitar work—rooted in soft rock, acoustic blues, and alternative influences—adds depth and color to every performance. He began playing guitar at age 11, quickly developing the ability to replicate iconic solos from bands like AC/DC, and has continued to refine his craft ever since.

    He has performed at many of Calgary’s well‑known music venues, including the Palace Theatre, the Plaza Theatre, King Eddy, CJAY 92’s Rock Bike Rally, Slam Fest, and more. Awwab was a finalist in the 2019 Calgary Stampede Talent Search and is recognized as a preferred artist by the Calgary Downtown Association.
